The Ion-w version features a wider body on the bass side of the guitar for those who want a more balanced look or to retain more of the tonal qualities of the chosen body wood. The arm chamfer on the front and the belly/chest cut on the rear of the Ion-w are extended accordingly to retain the comfort of the standard Ion.
Both versions are available as a standard flat top with ergonomic arm chamfer or a Ion-specific version of the Sloped carve also incorporating the ergonomic arm chamfer.
